    Choosing a model

It depends on three factors: your sector, pile volume and transport constraints. For high-volume solar, the 300F is the bestseller — up to 150 piles/day. For guardrail or urban sites where compact size matters, the 160 — truck-mounted in CA (autonomous power unit) or PF (PTO-driven) version — is ideal. For vineyards and orchards, BACCO is built for agriculture. If unsure, use our comparison tool to decide in about two minutes.

Main differences are power and size. The 300F is the flagship — hydraulic hammer up to 1,200 J, ideal for high volumes and hard ground. The 260F offers similar versatility in a slightly more compact machine with hammer up to 950 J. The 160 is the truck-mounted model, with hammer up to 950 J, available as CA (autonomous power unit) or PF (PTO-driven from the truck gearbox). Compare them side by side for full specs.

    FAQ

    Technical & performance

It depends on model, ground and pile length. In typical soft-to-medium soil with 2–3 m piles: 300F reaches 150+ piles/day, 260F about 150+, 160 about 100+ and BACCO about 150+. On harder ground output drops but remains far above manual methods.

Standard range is 3 to 6 metres depending on the column extension fitted. Extensions include 4.4 m, 5.0 m, 5.2 m and 6.0 m. For greater depth or very hard ground, TRI/4 core drilling and DTH hole drilling create pilot holes that ease driving.

    FAQ

    Applications

Yes — it is a core application. The 300F is the bestseller for solar: up to 150 piles/day, semi-automatic GPS positioning and automatic verticality for aligned panels. With the tracked trolley, one operator can complete a 1 MW plant in under two weeks.

Yes. TURCHI is a leading supplier for guardrail work in Europe. The 160 (truck-mounted) with swivel platform works both sides of the carriageway without moving the vehicle. The 260F and 300F are preferred for long motorway sections. All machines meet EN 1317 requirements.

    FAQ

    Training & operation

Yes. We provide full training on purchase. A technician works with your operator on site for 1–2 days covering startup, hydraulic adjustment, adapter changes, routine maintenance and safety. After that the machine is intuitive — most operators are independent from day two.

One operator for the pile driver — a major advantage versus traditional methods needing 2–4 people. Wireless remote control keeps the operator in a safe position. With the tracked trolley, a second person can feed piles in parallel to maximise flow.

    FAQ

    Support & warranty

All TURCHI pile drivers have manufacturer warranty. Exact terms depend on model and configuration at purchase. Contact us for full warranty details on the model you need.

Genuine TURCHI parts ship within 48 hours across Europe from our Italian warehouse. For critical wear items we recommend keeping a small on-site spare kit — we can help you build the right kit for your model.

    FAQ

    Transport & logistics

Self-propelled models (300F, 260F, BACCO) travel on standard trailer or low-loader. The 160 is truck-mounted in both versions: CA (autonomous power unit) and PF (PTO-driven) — it drives to site on the work vehicle. Compact dimensions usually avoid special transport permits.

Setup about 15–20 minutes. The machine descends from the trailer via ramps, then positions autonomously on its tracks and starts production. No foundations, crane or special ground works — unlike fixed or excavator-mounted rigs.

    FAQ

    Pricing & investment

Price depends on model, configuration and accessories. We do not publish list prices because each machine is built to customer needs. Request a tailored quote and you will receive a detailed offer within 12 hours.

It depends on workload. On a solar site, cost per pile with a 300F is roughly €2–4 (fuel, depreciation, operator) versus €8–15 manually. At 20,000–50,000 piles/year, ROI is often reached in 12–18 months. Our team can model ROI for your case.
