Find answers on models, applications, service, transport and everything you need to choose and get the most from your TURCHI pile driver.
For solar and agriculture, we start with the TURCHI 300F; for guardrails and restricted access, the TURCHI 260F. Both can also work in the other sector. The choice depends on pile height, ground and working space: the 300F reaches 6 m, the 260F 3.5 m with its standard mast extension. Tell us the type of work and pile height to select the right configuration.
The TURCHI 300F is aimed at large solar plants and reaches a working height of 6 m; the more compact 260F is aimed at road work and reaches 3.5 m with its standard mast extension. Both can take hammers rated at 950 / 1,200 / 1,500 J and work in either sector. Do not choose on stated productivity alone: pile height, ground and site access determine the configuration.
| Model | Max depth | Operating weight | Pressure |
|---|---|---|---|
| TURCHI 300F | 6 m | 4,400 kg | 180 bar |
| TURCHI 260F | 3.5 m | 3,500 kg | 170 bar |
Yes. The TURCHI BACCO is still available and supported, it is simply not shown in the site's range. We hold original spare parts for every TURCHI pile driver, including older models, and ship them within 48 hours across Europe. For a new machine in agriculture, the range today shows the 300F.
The CARRETTO PORTAPALI is useful when moving piles from storage to the driving point slows the pile driver. It carries up to 2,000 kg and is operated from the ground by remote control; it does not drive piles. Its benefit depends on distance, pile length and crew organisation: on a small site with piles already close to the machine, it may not be necessary.
For TURCHI 300F and 260F, with short piles in ordinary conditions, 150 piles per day is an indicative average, neither a minimum nor a maximum. Under optimal conditions, 200–300 piles per day are possible; with long piles, handling and often an extra helper are needed, and output drops. Ground, pile height, handling and crew size affect output: we need project details for a site estimate. We do not publish an unverified daily figure for the 160.
The TURCHI 300F is configured to suit pile height, with a mast allowing a working height up to 6 m; the 260F reaches 3.5 m with the mast extension included as standard. There is no single working height for the whole range. Tell us the pile height: this is the information needed to choose the model and mast.
Every TURCHI pile driver works on soft, clay, sandy and gravelly ground. On very compact or rocky ground, the pneumatic down-the-hole hammer (DTH) steps in, drilling rock, reinforced concrete and granite with holes from 80 to 250 mm in diameter.
H, C, U and Sigma profiles use suitable adapters; for other profiles we make a custom kit with an upper guide and lower pile centring device. The pile drawing, or the necessary dimensions, lets us define the kit. The profile alone does not determine the pile driver: pile height and ground conditions also matter.
Noise levels vary by model, but stay within the limits that allow work in urban and residential areas in most Italian municipalities. Strike frequency is adjustable, from 440 to 1,500 BPM, to suit site needs. Always check local municipal ordinances before starting work.
Yes. For solar plants, we first propose the TURCHI 300F; the 260F may also suit the site, depending on access and pile height. Semi-automatic GPS and assisted verticality are optional, not standard equipment. The number of piles per MW and working days depend on the structure, ground, piles and crew: we need project details for an estimate.
Yes. For guardrails, we start with the TURCHI 260F, compact for road sites and restricted access; the 300F can also be configured for this work. EN 1317 concerns the complete barrier and compliant installation, not a certification that the pile driver confers on the installation. Depth, verticality and post spacing must follow the barrier system design.
Yes. For vineyards, orchards and agricultural fencing, we propose the TURCHI 300F, configured to suit pile height, row spacing and ground. Lateral mast tilt helps alignment, but does not by itself indicate which ground slopes can be travelled: stability must be checked in the actual site conditions.
TURCHI pile drivers are optimised for standard metal piles (H, C, U, Sigma) with a working height up to 6 metres. For micropiles and larger sheet piles, performance depends on the project specifications. Send us your site details for a tailored technical assessment.
Yes. For agricultural and security fencing the 300F drives the perimeter posts with one operator. It works agricultural ground and slopes without preparing them.
Yes, full training is included with the purchase. One of our technicians works alongside your operator on site for 1-2 days, covering start-up, hydraulic adjustment, jig changes, routine maintenance and safety. After that, the machine is built to be intuitive: most operators work independently from the second day.
Just one operator for the pile driver. It's one of the main advantages over traditional methods, which need 2-4 people. With wireless remote control, the operator manages everything from a safe position.
Consumption varies by model and workload. On average the 300F uses around 8-12 L/h, the 260F around 6-9 L/h, and the 160 around 5-8 L/h. A full tank covers a whole working day. Fuel cost per pile is typically under €0.50.
Standard routine maintenance: check hydraulic and engine oil level daily, replace filters every 250-500 hours, grease joints once a week. Our pile drivers are designed for 98% uptime with minimal maintenance.
| Task | Frequency |
|---|---|
| Hydraulic and engine oil level check | Every day |
| Filter replacement | Every 250-500 hours |
| Greasing the pivots | Once a week |
It depends on the model, machine orientation, pile length and ground conditions. For the 300F, the manual specifies up to 10° under optimal conditions; with long piles, the machine must stand on level ground. Lateral mast tilt is not a safe travel slope, and the frontal −51° is the transport position. Check your site with the technical team before working on a slope.
Every TURCHI pile driver is covered by a manufacturer's warranty. Specific terms are set at purchase, based on model and configuration. Contact us for full details.
Genuine TURCHI spare parts ship within 48 hours across Europe from the Italian warehouse. For the most critical components, it's worth keeping a spare kit on site.
Our goal is to respond within 15 minutes to any technical request, anywhere in Europe. For site emergencies there's a dedicated priority line.
Yes. TURCHI operates through a network of authorised dealers and service centres in over 55 countries. The goal is to have a technician reachable quickly anywhere in Europe.
Self-propelled models (300F, 260F) travel on a standard trailer or low-loader. The 160 is truck-mounted in both versions, CA (self-contained power unit) and PF (power take-off), and moves by road with the site vehicle. Its compact size avoids abnormal-load transport in most cases.
Setup in 15-20 minutes. The pile driver comes off the trailer using ramps, moves itself to the work point on its own tracks, and starts producing. No foundations, cranes or special ground preparation needed.
In Italy, pile driver use falls under regulations for construction site equipment. The operator must hold the work-equipment authorisation required under the State-Regions Agreement. TURCHI training covers both the operational and regulatory sides.
Price depends on the model, configuration and accessories chosen. We don't publish price lists because every machine is configured to the customer's needs. Request a personalised quote: you'll get a detailed offer within 12 hours.
It depends on your workload. On a solar job site, the cost per pile with a TURCHI 300F is about €2-4. With manual methods it rises to €8-15 per pile. At volumes of 20,000-50,000 piles a year, ROI arrives in 12-18 months.
Yes, we work with credit providers to offer financing, operating leases and finance leases with tailored instalments. Our sales team presents the available options during the quote stage.
